Cory Cabral is the founder of Proactive Access and a California Certified Access Specialist (CASp #630) specializing in construction-related accessibility and ADA compliance.
Certified as a CASp in 2015, Cory has spent more than a decade helping California business owners, property owners, architects and other professionals understand accessibility requirements and identify practical solutions for improving access.
Through Proactive Access, Cory and his team have completed more than 1,000 accessibility field evaluations across Southern California, including CASp inspections, ADA inspections, accessibility plan reviews and path of travel evaluations.
About Cory Cabral
Cory Cabral is the founder and Certified Access Specialist at Proactive Access. His work focuses on helping business owners, property owners, architects, contractors, and other professionals understand and address accessibility requirements in existing buildings and commercial facilities.
After attending San Diego State University, Cory worked at his family's sign business, where he specialized in accessible signage. Through that work, he regularly assisted businesses with tactile and Braille signage and became increasingly familiar with the accessibility challenges faced by commercial property owners.
His interest in accessibility grew as he worked with customers who needed accessible signage and other corrections after encountering ADA compliance issues. Wanting to better understand the accessibility requirements affecting California businesses, Cory learned about the state's Certified Access Specialist program and became a CASp in 2015.
Since becoming CASp certified, Cory has focused on helping businesses and property owners identify accessibility barriers, understand applicable requirements, and develop practical strategies for addressing them. He founded Proactive Access to provide clients with straightforward accessibility guidance that goes beyond simply identifying deficiencies.
Today, Cory's accessibility experience includes evaluations of restaurants, retail stores, hotels, medical and dental offices, office buildings, shopping centers, and other commercial properties throughout Southern California.
